As part of a series of investments DCL Print has continued to grow our digital print department with the installation of a 3rd Xerox iGen digital press. This third machine, an iGen 150, allows DCL Print additional print capacity, and faster turnaround times whilst never sacrificing the quality we established two years ago when we installed our first iGen. Installed at our Crawley site, our main digital printing department now boasts an impressive 6 presses (4 colour, and 2 mono) and can handle a wide range media and finishing requirements.
Also installed at DCL Print's Crawley site is a Heidelberg Speedmaster CD 74 10 colour perfecter. The installation of this new press increases both our sheet-fed capacity and our production speed at the same high quality we have always offered. This new press is complemented by our existing onsite finishing and binding capabilities.
With DCL Print offering a complete range of print solutions, we are delighted to announce our investment in a fast, modern Muller Martini Concept 520 eight colour continuous web offset printing press with uv drying, installed at our Wotton-under-Edge site in Gloucestershire. This machine is ideal for direct mail, security printing, forms, labels, letterheads, pharmaceutical inserts, commercial web offset and much more.
The press is also perfect for transactional mailing houses, with the printed job supplied either as reels or A3 or A4 cut sheets. Special magnetic cylinders mean that cross perfs, vertical perfs and die cut shapes are all possible. Printing on various weights of paper from 60 to 170gsm, the Muller also has a wide variety of perfecting options from 8/0 to 4/4 with everything in between.
Covered by all the relevant ISO Accreditations DCL is also a reliable security printer and the new Muller adds to our focus on cheque and warrant printing.
The DCL Print Group operates out of two sites with the main head office being at Crawley in Sussex, where the group’s main Digital Suite is also situated together with a dedicated mailing operation. Investment in all aspects of printing has been key to the successful and expansive product offering of the group.
